Amazon published its 2027 US referral and Fulfillment by Amazon fee update on November 5. Most changes take effect on January 15, 2027, which gives more than two months to plan in the middle of peak. On average, FBA fulfillment fees rise by $0.19 per unit sold, about 0.8% of the average item's selling price. Fees for some products increase and others decrease so each fee tracks Amazon's cost of fulfilling that product more closely.
The useful part is not the average. It is the ASIN-level view. Amazon built a Fee Change Comparison dashboard inside Profit Analytics that shows the impact at the account and product level. The Revenue Calculator still models scenarios if you want to stress-test a price before you commit a Black Friday discount that has to live into January.
Last year Amazon delivered 8 billion items same-day or next-day across US stores. Faster delivery is the pitch behind the letter: when the promise moves from more than 4 days to 2 days, purchase conversion rises by more than 20%, and when it moves from 2 days to hours, conversion can rise another 15% or more. 2027 US referral and FBA fee update
On average, FBA fulfillment fees rise by $0.19 per unit sold (about 0.8% of the average item's selling price). Some products go up, some go down. The FBA fuel and logistics surcharge stays unchanged. Inventory
Storage fees stop being a puzzle on February 1
Sellers told Amazon storage fees were hard to predict. The answer lands on February 1, 2027. Amazon will eliminate the storage utilization surcharge, which it says makes it easier to stock up ahead of high-demand events. The aged inventory surcharge goes away as a separate line and folds into monthly storage as a single age-based rate.
The trade is clear on paper. Inventory that turns in under six months sees flat or lower fees. Aged inventory pays more. If you have been gaming utilization by keeping the warehouse artificially lean into events, that lever disappears. If you have been sitting on deep aged stock, the new age-based rate is the reason to clear it before February.
Do this: Pull an aged-inventory report this week and decide which SKUs leave through deals, Outlet or removal before the Feb 1 age-based rate starts.

The low-inventory fee now looks four weeks forward
Today's low-inventory-level fee watches trailing 30- and 90-day sales. Starting February 1, 2027, it applies only when inventory falls below 28 days of supply, measured from actual shipments in the four weeks before and the four weeks after the assessment date.
That after window is the real change. A one-week spike or an end-of-life ASIN is less likely to trip the fee just because the trailing average looked busy. The fee targets SKUs that still need replenishment once demand settles. Keep a real 28-day cushion on winners, and stop over-ordering dying SKUs just to dodge a trailing metric.
Do this: On FBA Inventory, mark every ASIN under 28 days of supply that you still intend to sell through Q1, and set a replenishment reminder before Feb 1.

New Selection enrollment now runs through March 31, 2027
Amazon extended the enrollment window for the FBA New Selection Program 2026 to March 31, 2027. Eligible new-to-FBA branded parent ASINs still get referral fee credits that cap at 10% on the first 100 units and 5% on the next 100, plus free storage, returns and liquidations on the first 200 units for 120 days, and no low-inventory-level fee or storage utilization surcharge on those units for the same window.
That waiver matters twice now. The storage utilization surcharge disappears for everyone on February 1, but New Selection still covers the early life of a launch, including the rewritten low-inventory rule and the age-based storage that replaces it. Benefits cannot be combined with New Seller Incentives. Enroll on the New Selection Program page if you are launching into Q1.
Do this: If you have new-to-FBA branded parent ASINs planned for Q1, enroll in New Selection Program 2026 before March 31, 2027.

Buried under the $0.19 headline: the FBA fuel and logistics surcharge stays unchanged. Amazon says fuel and line-haul trucking costs have stayed elevated since the surcharge launched in April 2026, and it will keep reviewing it as conditions change. Do not build a January P&L that quietly drops the 3.5% line.
